1. Hide It
•Children love to find items that are hidden. –Example: Hide sight words in a box or under a scarf. •In the picture to the right, we were working on farm animals. The pig is hidden in a box under the brown paper shredded. 2. Stickers •Children love stickers. Use your choice of stickers and incorporate it into an activity. –Example: Use alphabet stickers to spell your sight words. –Other ideas: paper reinforcement labels or name badge labels can be used as well. 3. Sparkle •Glitter, jewels or anything that sparkles can be used to spice up learning activities. –Example decorate your sight words with jewels or glitter. 4. Colors •Add color to learning activities using markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint. –Example: Use different colors to write your sight words. 5. Other Ideas •Pipe Cleaners •Beads •Pom Poms •Googly Eyes •Confetti •Yarn or String •Stamps or Dot Markers •Use a voice changer app to change to different voices when reading words.
